Continuous Sealer Horizontal – CBS900LWS The conversion kit comes in the box, to convert from the horizontal to the vertical. A sealer like this is intended for sealing small bags at a quick rate (conveyor can run at 12m/minute). Temperature range is 0-399°C. This sealer is fitted with belts made of heat-resistant fabric and coated with PTFE (Teflon belts). The belts are seamless, so they can be effective and last well. These belts do not hold heat like the steel belts on some other similar sealers. This means that the cooling blocks are able to cool the sealed area of bag, allowing the seal to form. Steel belts would not allow for proper cooling of the seal. The maximum load on the conveyor must not exceed 10kg. The cost of purchase and maintenance should compute to about 2c per seal on a bag with a muffin in it.

Custom-made Sealer A sealer can be custom-made to specifications. Before considering this option, see if your needs can be met using a continuous sealer, perhaps an adapted version of the CC6202 model. This would then allow you to make the sealer economically. The kit would typically include the heating, insulating, connecting and control components, and diagram and instructions/advice for connection. Typically, the body and arm/jaw would not be included in the kit, because these would be the non-standard parts required, and would be bought from a dealer in metal. We can assist by providing a quote for a custom-made sealer, however, for a sealer to be factory-made to user specifications is a far more costly process than for a sealer to be made to standard specifications.

KS450 – Standard Foot Sealer Jaw-type Foot Sealer with standard width of seal (approx 2,3mm) A robust sealer like this is intended for sealing plastic bags, in a production environment, with the operator seated (if the height/orientation of the jaw does not suit your needs, take a look at our semi-automatic sealers). Side Seal semi-automatic Strapping Machine – PW716Y Dribble-tolerant semi-automatic Strapping Machine A dribble-tolerant semi-automatic strapping machine is intended for making a pack secure with plastic (polypropylene) strapping, in an environment which is unfriendly to the more usual designs. Some examples are: refrigerated or moist environments; dusty environments; requirement to strap goods from which liquid or particles may fall. In such environments, the falling liquids or particles are less likely to settle into the mechanism of this model, than they would be to settle into the mechanism of the standard machine. Vacuum Sealer – DZ400A – for 2-6 bags This sealer holds 2 or more bags in the chamber, pumps (most of) the air out of the chamber (and thus also out of the bags), then seals the bags and lets the air back into the chamber. A vacuum sealer like this, is used most commonly for foodstuff. This type of sealer only requires standard vacuum bags, not expensive imported bags. If the bags to be sealed are small, then 4, or even 6 bags may be vacuumed and sealed in one operation, which spreads the cost of operating the sealer (10-15c per operation) over more of the bags of product. Even with large bags, this sealer’s capability of sealing at least 2, halves it’s cost-per-bag and time-per-bag (cycle time is approx 30 seconds).

Flat -type Preparation unit A preparation unit like this intended to: hold a roll of centre-folded plastic film, perforate the film (if required), separate the film, and provide a work-surface on which the product can be placed between the layers of film. It has rubber feet to stand on a level surface. Position the roll in such a way that the user is pulling the material from the bottom (not the top) of the roll.
